Sample: Piezoresponse image of ferroelectric TGS single crystal grown from the solution. The sample was imaged while heated at 1°/min (from bottom to top).
The picture shows a 2D representation of the phase transition in TGS showing gradual splitting of the domains and finally their disappearance in paralectric phase (top of the image).
These measurements can directly visualize phase transitions and serve for express analysis of ferroelectrics.
